Judy Tyrus - performed with the Richmond and Oakland Ballets before joining Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH). She garnered critical acclaim as a dancer in a twenty-five year performing arts career with dance reviewer Anna Kisselgoff of The New York Times of her wrote— “passionate,” “strong,” and “sparkling.” With Paul Novosel she co-curated an exhibition titled, Dance Theatre of Harlem: From Black and White to Living Color for the Virginia Arts Festival. Tyrus served as project curator for the Dance Theatre of Harlem materials that were presented to the National Museum of African American Arts and Culture at The Smithsonian; premiering in September 2016. Ms. Tyrus is CEO of ChromaDiverse, Inc. which promotes cultural diversity in the performing arts co-founded with Paul Novosel and Eric Waldman. With Novosel she co-authored the best-selling book, "Dance Theatre of Harlem: A History, A Movement, A Celebration" published by Kensington.
Cheryl Seeley, born in New York City, has a thirty year career in Early Childhood Education as a classroom teacher, home visitor, and parent educator. As a graduate from the Fiorella La Guardia High School for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center, she performs with The Majesta Chanters and is a life long chorister. She is also a Full-Spectrum Doula and Lactation Consultant, earning her BA and MA from The State University of New York. Aside from being administrator and development project director at St. Peter's Episcopal Church at Westchester Square in the Bronx, New York, she is collaborating with Paul Novosel on a major work dealing with education in the United States.
Haley McCormick, is a singer, actor, dancer, and recorded "Sandy Hook Angels" which debuted in September of 2023 on Spotify, YouTube, and other sound recording platforms. .She is an Elon graduate in musical theatre and is widely in demand as a cantor and dance instructor in Northern Ohio.
The Majesta Chanters is a New York based semi-professional Gregorian Chant group that specializes in the singing and study of Cardinian Method Medieval Chant. The group has performed at The Medieval Festival held near The Cloisters in Fort Tryon Park in New York City since 2001. They have performed in numerous church concerts and have recorded compact disks. Among the most noted performances are "Vesperalis," a chant-based meditational environment, and The Music of Saint Francis Cabrini: A Concert, which featured chant and polyphony from her canonization in Rome in 1946. The Majesta Chanters, directed by maestro Paul Novosel, is community based, and holds a roster of singers who appear in the ensemble. The group is managed by Paul Novosel Music, LLC.
